# Wadline — full data summary Independent directory and marketplace of IT service providers, operating since 2015. Language is set by subdomain: wadline.com (English), ru.wadline.com (Russian), de/fr/nl/es.wadline.com. ## Hourly rates by country Median of published hourly rates, from company profiles on Wadline. Method: USD quotes only (rates quoted in other currencies are excluded rather than converted), values outside $5-500/hr discarded as data-entry errors, and a country is listed only where at least five companies remain. The state is measured, never voted on: eleven public signals from the startup's own site and code, each weighted, with the weights renormalised over the signals that actually resolved — so a company with no public repository is not scored as though its repository were dead. Weights: sitemap freshness 25, newest feed entry 20, most recent commit 20, most recent release 10, homepage change 10, and 5 each for a pricing page, a careers page, open vacancies on Wadline and a status page. Reachability is a gate rather than a score component: a homepage that does not answer forces the state to dormant on its own. Certificate expiry is weighted zero, because behind Cloudflare or Vercel it rotates every 90 days regardless of whether the company still exists. Honesty rules, stated because they limit what can be cited: - No state and no score are published below three resolved signals, or with no time-based signal at all. Those profiles say "not enough signals". - A signal we could not measure, or one the site's robots.txt told us not to collect, carries no weight in either direction and is reported as such. - lifecycle_status is only ever set by a person. The measurement raises a closure candidate and a human confirms, because a failed request is as often a DNS migration or a bot block as a shutdown. - Nothing a submitter can influence by asking people to click is measured: no vote counts, no traffic estimates, no social following. Cadence: a growing startup is rechecked every 24 hours, steady every 3 days, quiet weekly, dormant every two weeks. Every profile shows when it was last checked. Companies without reviews display no score rather than a default one. - Paid placement is labelled "Promoted" and does not earn a "Best" or "Top Rated" badge. - Full method: https://wadline.com/methodology ## Citing this data Attribute to Wadline with a link to the specific page.
