ABOUT ENTERPRISE UX

Enterprises—huge, distributed, complex businesses, government agencies, and other large organizations—account for an enormous portion of the global economy. Yet people who engage with enterprises—employees, customers, and managers—face experiences that are tedious, fragmented, complicated, and just plain awful, especially when compared with consumer-facing experiences. It’s time to right these wrongs—and that’s why we created the Enterprise UX conference series.

Rosenfeld Media started producing Enterprise UX in 2015—in partnership with Rackspace, which hosted the conference at their San Antonio headquarters—and it’s grown ever since.

Enterprise UX problems are uniquely wicked ones, with overwhelming challenges of scale, complexity, and distributed decision-making, all intertwined with organizational behavior. Rather than covering basic UX skills, Enterprise UX provides inspiration and models of success from leading organizations like IBM, GE, Salesforce, 18F, and SAP. We cover how UX is practiced in leading enterprises, and how in turn UX is changing the way those enterprises work.
If you believe that enterprise experiences should offer the same degree of humanity, beauty, and delight that people have come to expect from consumer experiences, please be a part of the Enterprise UX conference.

WHAT’S SPECIAL ABOUT ENTERPRISE UX

Aside from its unique focus on helping designers and researchers impact enterprises, our content is simply unmatched in quality. We rely heavily on user research to learn about the challenges that you care about. Our program emphasizes those themes over celebrity speakers. We painstakingly curate our speaker roster to ensure diverse perspectives and experiences (learn more about our approach here). And we require our speakers to prepare their presentations months in advance.
Want proof? Check out our past presentations and videos (linked from the 2015, 2016, and 2017 program pages).

WHAT YOU’LL GET

Our great content comes in a variety of formats: keynotes, talks, and our unique Enterprise Storytelling Session, as well as four workshops. Don’t worry about taking notes, just enjoy the sessions—we’ll give you access to sketchnotes, tripnotes, and video recordings of the main conference program within about week after the conference wraps up.
We’ll provide you with plenty of other opportunities to learn and have fun—ranging from topic tables, an active Slack channel, and a mentoring booth to a reception, happy hour, a karaoke evening, and a walking tour of San Francisco.
