The project requirements centered around developing an iOS and Android app that would help newsrooms stay on top of various incidents, and in turn, assign the nearest available journalists/reporters to cover those incidents. In essence, News Crew Tracker is a location-based assignment management tool that allows the newsrooms to track the activity of their journalists, and assign them on the spot to newsworthy incidents with ease.Dot Com Infoway developed the iOS and Android app using Google Maps, a location tracker, messaging system, secure logins for users, assignment alerts and privacy settings for the users.
