Since Dolfn started activities, it had a mission to work on apps that solve big society and individual problems. We were working on getting there, because we knew it might not be a profitable adventure, but a very rewarding one. A year ago one of my friends managed to lose his dog. He found it dead, crossed by a car. He was not the only one. This kind of things happen very often, every day someone somewhere loses his pet. Since we always believed that technology can help solve big problems for people, we thought of working on an app that would mobile communities to find lost pets. We teamed up with a friend that can handle the marketing for the app. At first the work was going slow, because we did not had enough time. Last summer, however, someone stole the dog of the team member. Fortunately, he found it later. That is when we mobilized to launch this app as quickly as possible so a problem like this will become easier to solve. That is how we launched Gasitorii (translated to Finders in English). It is an app that you can install to find lost pets and get rewards for doing it. We used location services and a very responsible design to take as little time from the user as possible. It became an unexpected success and we are now working on other iterations, looking forward to expand on other countries. We will also use it to find missing people, more effectively, in the future.
