MedData’s advocates needed an excessive amount of training in order to screen a patient to determine what medical programs they may qualify for.The line of questioning for screening is dynamic and can take different paths based on answers to previous questions. The rules to match programs to a patient based on their answers to the screening questions are complex and vary from state to state and for each hospital.Advocates are sometimes not able to screen patients in hospitals or in the field without internet access.BayTech replaced a large part of MedData’s account management system with a modern responsive web application. We designed a configurable workflow-driven screening process. This included:-A mixture of dynamic simple forms that are configurable and complex prebuilt forms. -A Decision engine that processes patient data and screening answers against rulesets to match medical programs to the patient. -Screening processes and pdf document collections and management available offline.
