The primary goal of this project was to take AKDHC’s existing DocTalk® legacy iOS mobile application and port it over to a modernized and scalable HIPAA compliant mobile application mobile for Android devices.The outcome of this project produced an Android mobile application built on a technology stack that would allow both Android and iOS application to be managed under a single codebase in the future when and if AKDHC decided to merge both code bases together for more efficient and easier management.The Android application is now being distributed and used by by AKDHC physicians to record their daily activity including hospital, office, dialysis unit and surgery center charges increasing efficiency and reduce overall expenses. The benefits they are realizing include:Reduction in overhead and labor expenses.Up to date accurate patient census.Synching and sending data anytime.Reduction of errors in diagnosis and procedure coding.Increase provider productivity.
