Andersen was approached by an innovative manufacturer of tailor-made skin-care products. The customer required a data-driven solution capable of diagnosing and treating their buyers’ skin conditions. As such, that healthcare IT solution was intended to securely receive and process patient data on the one hand and provide a reliable communication channel with the purchasers to propose and manage treatment routines on the other hand.To ensure these deliverables, Andersen’s team of tech experts worked in close cooperation with the customer. Hence it was expected to match an entire range of challenging criteria in terms of data security and privacy. Among other things, since the customer wanted that data-driven skin-care solution to successfully enter the US and Canadian markets, it was expected to meet all the requirements set by such information security regulations as HIPAA (the US) and PIPEDA (Canada).SolutionPatient registrationAndersen had a task to develop a healthcare solution for professional medical services. Thus, proper patient registration was treated as a priority.In conformity with this, the resulting IT solution records requests that are sent via the website of a clinic or the doctors' dashboard in compliance with applicable standards. Then, it automatically creates protected profiles for patients within the system.Dashboard managementSince any treatment of skin conditions is universally based on individual cases, having a customizable dashboard is also essential to the professional end-users.Therefore, our healthcare IT experts ensured a dashboard management capability. It provides end-users with the means to manage the main page of the dashboard according to the available settings.Among other things, it enables them to add data and control the post-care stage – after the treatment is finished. On top of that, one can search for patients via the main page by names/emails/phone numbers. It is also possible to filter patients by required parameters. All applicable parameters are divided into three sections, with a multiselection being also available.NotificationsAdherence to a treatment routine is a key to the successful result for patients. With this priority in mind, our experts added notifications to the solution's range of functionalities. These notifications remind patients of the steps to be taken, following the treatment recommendations.These notifications also inform medical professionals about the events and developments requiring their attention, as well as about their daily responsibilities regarding various treatment plans.Patient profilesTreatment of various skin conditions via remote means makes it mandatory to consider all the relevant individual details.
