In order to come up with a trustworthy list of the most influential people on LinkedIn we developed an algorithm which assigns points to users profile data on LinkedIn. We gather data and statistics from LinkedIn such as the number of (international) connections, languages you speak, jobs you had at international offices, what kind of groups you are a member of, individuals or companies you follow, shares you place, your recommandations. These points are then weighed and a final score is calculated. We automatically place users in the category where they score best.
